Eid fests

Eid is one of the most important festivals of Muslim community. And Muslim community being spread all across the world in a good density can not remain dull and sober. To add to the charm of the festival of Eid are the Eid fests, which are organized at big or small level by Muslims. These give a chance to loved ones to gather under one roof and enjoy the essence of Eid, thereby practicing brotherhood, peace and fellowship among themselves.

The fests include lots of colorful stalls of food, clothes, games etc. They have activities to entertain people of all age groups. Children indulge in various games on stalls, have fun on swings and treat themselves with good food. For elderly people, there are sermon by intellectually enlightened people in separate stalls.

For young men, there are competitions like Boat race, Kabaddi or football matches. Womenfolk keep themselves busy in buying stuff for their family members, as well as for themselves. Their favorite activity is applying henna on hands for which a number of stalls are fixed up. The fair is lively with the brilliancy of bouncy castles, performance by jugglers, puppeteers and other things.

Such fests are usually organized in rural areas, which provide an exotic environment for the celebrations. But, at the same time, there is no scarcity of these event in urban regions too. Eid fests not only add a zing to the jollifications of Eid, but provide a great opportunity to promote products and services in the market.

It is a good platform for the artists, who otherwise face a struggle all the time in order to sustain their living. In the year 2002, Birmingham hosted a similar kind of fest and thousands of people across the world turned out there. The earnings were donated for the aid of Palestine.

Offering prayers at grand level encourages elements like brotherhood, love and peace amongst each other. Therefore, they show a good sign. It is a nice idea to share happiness that is brimming in everyone's heart.
